Lifelong San Diegan
Mike is a lifelong native San Diegan who comes from a proud history of hard work and service. He was born in Oceanside and grew up in Vista. Mike’s parents owned and operated a small business in Vista for over 20 years. Mike’s father is also former Marine and firefighter. His parents instilled these values in Mike and his brother, Scott.
After graduating from Vista High School, Mike worked to put himself through college at University of California, San Diego. After college, Mike attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. Mike’s brother also chose a life of service. Scott is an active duty Air Force Chief Master Sergeant who has served his country for over 17 years.
Mike and his wife Jill are longtime residents of Jamul. Mike has been involved in his community of Deerhorn Valley as a past President of the Deerhorn Valley Volunteer Fire Station Auxiliary and as a member of the Deerhorn Valley Volunteer Fire Station Community Service Zone Committee.
Mike and Jill are outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy their East County, rural lifestyle. They share their home with a menagerie of horses, dogs, and cats. Mike and Jill have a son who is a Special Agent for California’s Department of Justice, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
